The Legacy Data Conversion Center supports conversion of Word legacy
data to any custom document type. For a small fee, we can convert your
legacy data to any proprietary or custom output format just quickly and
inexpensively as if we were converting it to one of the standard output format.
Convert legacy data to Word 2003 (WordML)
The Legacy Data Conversion Center can convert FrameMaker, Interleaf, and other
XML formats to Word 2003 (WordML). Microsoft Word 2003 supports WordML, a Microsoft
standard XML format that we can produce in the same way we produce any other
output format. Our Word Conversion Tool is designed to convert to Word as well
as from it. It works the same way that the other conversion tools work and produces
output with the same results.
WordML is a standard output format. For customers who have complicated, specific
output look-and-feel requirements, we may require a small fee to accomodate your
output requirements. Standard Word template styles do not require an additional fee.
However, in both cases, we will ask that you detail your specializations for us.
We require sample output documents that demonstrate the Word styles
that produce the look-and-feel that you require in your output format.
We convert the binary source and we proof the output. We verify that all text that
went in, comes out, and that it is tagged correctly based on your output requirements.
We ask that customers provide the documents to be converted, any applicable templates
and style guides, and any customization or specialization information that
you may be using in your choice of output format.
